Explantion of Surah Fatihah, the opening chapter of Quran


My friend and my sister have been recommending me Nouman Ali Khan’s explanation videos for months but I’ve been silly not going checking it.
I think it’s important to go through the Quran’s translation on its own then believing the whole life because others. I had made my mind but when I saw Lesly Hazleton’s Ted Talk (I’ve shared it in a previous post), it became urgent to read. So I started by surat Fatihah. There’s a 3h long explanation of Nouman Ali Khan on youtube and believe me you don’t see the time running. His explanation is easy to understand and complete at the same time. So now that I know who is in front of me, I recommend him too, if you have such projects of understanding Quran on your own.

The untold story of unseen bugs

"Ô Allah ! protect me from the seen and the unseen." what does that unseen means ? Not necessarily the people of unseen like the djinns & all sorts of life we are not aware of. But also kind of tiny little things we can't take care of. Take exemple of bugs. Some how, in my very messy - but clean - bed, something started biting me. I had all my feet redened by their bites.  Whenever I went in sunlight, it started itching me, driving me mad and so helpless. What could I do ?I think it also generated my conjonctivite. My pinkeyes added a one more negative point to my already worn out morale. I was having a course that week, skipping classes, missing a day was not a choice. La laïcité et les décorations de noël à l'école sont contradictoires

My Dear France, Je sais que je te dois beaucoup. Tu m'as accueillie. Tu m'as donnée une langue même si elle est compliquée et riche d'exceptions. Mais tu m'as aussi donné des enseignants d'exception qui se sont investi pour nous les nouveaux arrivants. A travers tout cela tu m'as donné une opportunité de pousser les portes des études supérieurs. Même si à la fin de mon Bac+5, je n'avais qu'une envie : "que les études se terminent ! ", je le savais être une chance et je reconnaissais ma dette envers toi. Un très gentil monsieur m'a dit que cette dette n'avais pas lieu d'être sur mon cœur car j'avais réussi les études et cela suffisait. Mais nous les musulmans, on oublie pas nos dettes.
